9.4 Mower Blade Maintenance
Inspect the blades on a daily basis. Blades are the key to mowing efficiency and quality. Keep the
blades sharp, because a dull blade will tear rather than cut the grass and increase the power
consumption. Replace any bent, cracked, or damaged blades immediately.
Do not try to straighten a blade by heating or weld a cracked or broken blade.
Press the start/stop button to power off the mower, ensure that the motor is turned off, and
disconnect the battery cables. Always wear gloves to work on the blades. Check whether the
blades are damaged whenever the mower hits rocks, branches, or other foreign objects.
9.4.1 Inspection
The blades must be sharp. In the case of shown in the figure below, sharpen the blade. In the
case of , replace the blade. Check whether the blade bolts are loose and tighten the loose bolts
with the specified torque if necessary.
