After the communication with the device is established, the device is managed
similarly to the terminal program.
At any time the command selecting the device to be managed %NNN is available
(where NNN are digits and symbols of the Latin alphabet in the range from 0 to 80). This
command is used to configure the multiplexer as well as other devices connected to the
same MONITOR bus (installed in the same shelf).
Before connecting, check if this bus is busy with another device, for example,
FlexDSL Orion 2 device. If the bus is busy, the following message is displayed: “ERROR:
Console is busy.”
To start the operation, connect the device to the Monitor bus and configure the
device, enter the following command:
%1XXXX↵
in this case, the command %XXXX↵ is sent to the Monitor bus. Here, XXXX is a set of
digits and letters of the Latin alphabet up to 79 symbols. (The multiplexer does not check
the correctness of XXXX.)
During configuration of any device by the command %NNN, the return to the
multiplexer management mode, for which the Telnet session is open, is performed by the
command:
%↵
During the connection of the Telnet session to the rear panel, all data are
transmitted transparently to the rear panel, including the % command, i.e., when the %↵
command is entered, ‘%’ symbols and line feed are sent to the rear panel. Only after this,
disconnection from the rear panel is performed.
When the symbol % is received from the rear panel during the connection of the
Telnet session to the rear panel, this symbol is not processed (it is translated in the telent).
