Table 9. Description of G.826 parameters.
CRC4 Cyclic redundancy check indicating errored submultiframes;
FAS Frame Alignment Signal. Errored frame alignment signal received during the measurement
interval;
MFAS MultiFrame Alignment Signal. Errored multiframe alignment signal received during the
measurement interval;
Errored
seconds
(ES). A one second period with one or more errored blocks or at least one defect;
Severely
errored
seconds
(SES). A one-second period, which contains more than 805 errored blocks per second or the
number of errored framed alignment is more than 28 per second. SES is a subset of ES;
ER% (Error ratio). The coefficient of errors during the cyclic redundancy check. Expressed in percent;
ESR% (Errored second ratio). The ratio of ES to total seconds in available time during a fixed
measurement interval. Expressed as a percent ratio of the ER parameter to the available time of
the measurement interval;
BBER% (Background Block Error Ratio). The ratio of BBE to the total number of error-free seconds in
available time during a fixed measurement interval. Expressed in percent;
Available time The period when measurements of the parameters are possible, i.e. the number of seconds in
the time interval during which the framed E1 stream was received by the network interface;
Unavailable
time
The period when the measurements of the parameters are impossible, i.e the number of
seconds in the time interval during which the calculation of parameters in the E1 stream was
unavailable.
The length of the information block is equal to the length of the CRC4 submultiframe.
Note: the use of commands <G826 CONT>, <CASIN PCM1 CONT> and <CASOUT
PCM1 CONT> with the parameter CONT allows the user to activate the dynamic statistics
update for these commands. The information is updated every second.
<FRAME> command.
The <FRAME> command displays the incoming and outcoming frames of the E1
stream.
Command syntax:
<FRAME> <PCM1|PCM2>
