Example: Measurement of the ground conductor cur-
rent via the PE conductor directly at the inverter (left)
or in the distributor (right).
The sum of the currents that flow to the ground conductor via the device insulation, or
caused by the wiring in the device, is displayed.
When the measurement is carried out, the ground conductor leakage current must not ex-
ceed the limit of 3.5 mA **).
Differential current process – Measurement of the ground conductor current using injec-
tion probe via N and L leads.

Example: Measurement of the ground conductor cur-
rent using the differential current process directly at
the inverter (left) or in the distributor (right).
As with a residual circuit breaker, the currents are compared between the phase conduc-
tor(s) (L1, L2 and L3) and the neutral conductor (N) via a transformer. The difference is
displayed.
When the measurement is carried out, the ground conductor leakage current must not ex-
ceed the limit of 3.5 mA **).
**) These requirements relate to DIN VDE 0701-0702 and ÖVE/ÖNORM E8701-1. In ad-
dition, individual national requirements and standards must also be observed.
Contact Current Measurements are taken between a grounded point and the touchable conductive surfac-
es not connected with the ground conductor.
There is an optional fan cover with an integrated filter and base for which the screws must
be checked separately.
