Connecting the mouse and keyboard set
Depending on the model, the scope of supply of your machine includes a wireless mouse
and keyboard s et or a mouse and keyboard set with cables.
Connecting the wireless mouse and keyboard set
► Connect the mouse and keyboard as described in Chapter "LX300
Wireless Keyboard Set", Page 20 .
The corre ct radio connection code is factory pre-set and the mouse and keyboard
set is immediately ready for operation. If nevertheless you encounter connection
problems, the instructions for establishing the connection can be found in Chapter
"
Re-establishing the radio connection to the Keyboard Set if required", Page 23.

The mouse and keyboard are im

You can connect a wide range of external devices to the USB ports (e.g.
printer, scanner, modem or keyboard).
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconne ct
USB cables while your device is switched on.
Additional information can be found in the documentation for the USB devices.
► Connect the data cable to the exte rnal device.
► Connect the data cable to one of the USB ports on your device.
Device drivers
The external US B devices you connect to the USB ports usually require no
driver o f their own, as the required software is already included in the operating
system. However, if the external USB device requires its own software, please
install it from the data carrier provided with the USB device.
To ensure USB 2.0, the length of the cable used between the front USB port of
your device a nd the external US B device must not exceed 3 m.
