You can fit operator-contro llable drives (such as a DVD drive) an d other modules.
This manual shows you how to start up and operate your machine. The manual covers
all available expansion stages. Depending on the expansion stage selected, it may
happen that the hardware components shown are not fitted to your machine. Please
also note the instructions applicable to yo ur operating system.
Depending on the selected c onfiguration, the operating system is pre-installed
on your ha rd disk (e.g. W indows Vista).
So that no unauthorised person can access your data, your ma chine offers a range of security
measures. The security fu nctions in t h e BIOS Setup allow you to pro tect y our data against access by
assigning them passwords. In addition, systems with SmartCard re aders offer furth er protection.
