Using the mouse wheel
In addition to two buttons, the mouse also has a wheel which can be used as follows:
• As a third mouse button: Press on the wheel.
• To scroll, e .g. in documents or on Internet pages: Rotate the whee l forward or backward.
• To shift the screen contents horizontally: press the wheel to the left or right. Availability of
this function is dependent upon the operating system used and t he application.
If you do not use the mouse for several minutes it will be put into a s uspended
state. To use the mouse again, move it or p ress one of the buttons.

• Set up the receiver at least 2
0 cm from other electrical devices (e.g. monitor)
and metal objects to achieve
optimum performance.
• The optical sensor on the mouse does not function correctly when the mouse is
used on surfaces such as glass, mirrors or other reflective surfaces. To ensure
optimum performance, it is recommended that the mouse be used on a relatively
light-coloured, non-reflective surfa ce. This will increase battery life.

In BIOS Setup, you can set the system functions and the hardware configuration of the device.
When the PC is delivered , the default entries are valid (see "BIOS Setup" manual or manual for
the mainboard). You can customise these settings to your requirements in the BIOS Setup.
