No mouse pointer displayed on the screen
Cause
Remedy
The mouse is not correctly connected.
Shut down your operating system in the
proper manner, for instance using
Ctrl
+
Alt
+
Del
.
Switch the device off.
Check that the mouse cable is prop erly
connected to the system unit. If you use an
adapter or extension lead with the mouse
cable, check the connections.
M ake sure that only one mouse is
connected.
Switch the device on.
Disabled USB ports In the BIOS Setup, check whether th e USB
ports are Enab led (see the "BIOS Setup"
manual or the mainboard manu al
Time and/or date is n ot correct
Cause

Time and date are incorrect.

Cause
Troubleshooting
Chip card inserted incorrectly. Check whethe r you have inserted your
SmartCard into the SmartCard reader the
right w ay with the chip facing upwards.
Check wh
ether the SmartCard you are using
is suppo
rted. Your SmartCard must comply
with the
ISO s tandard 7816-1, -2, -3 and -4.
