Note on the European Ecodesign Directive
The hibernate
state (Advanced Conguration and Power Interface ACPI S4 Save-to-disk) is
not available
for workstations in certain congurations. As a consequence, it is not possible
for these sys
tems to switch off automatically according to the Ecodesign directive.
With a workin
g memory expansion wh ich exceeds the free capacity of the s ystem drive, the
capability
to enable the hibernate state (ACPI S4) is technically not possible.
With suita
bly larg e system drives, the off state is automatically enabled in the
settings w
ith which these workstations are delivered.
