Installing and removing an M.2 m
odule
M.2module
Your device has two slots for M.2 modules:
• On the mainboard (standard)
• On the front panel module (optional)
Installing the M.2-module on the main board
► Open the casing (see "Open the casing", Page 43).
► Remove the boards (see "
Removing a boa rd", Page 85).

► Insert the M.2 module (b) at a slight angle in the direction of the arrow
(1) into the slot (a) on the mainboard.
► If the screw for retaining the M .2 module is loca ted on one of the associated
stud bolts on the mainboard, remove the screw.
► Secure the M.2 module onto the ma inbo ard with the screw (2). In doing so, s elect
the stud bolt appropriate to the length of the module.
► Install the boards (see "
Installing a board", Page 87).
► Close the casing (see "
Close the casing", Pag e 44).
If necessary, you must adjust the entry for the M.2 module accordingly in the BIOS Setup.
