Installing and removing an M.2 m
odule
M.2module
Your device has two slots for M.2 modules:
On the mainboard (standard)
On the front panel module (optional)
Installing the M.2-module on the main board
Open the casing (see "Open the casing", Page 43).
Remove the boards (see "
Removing a boa rd", Page 85).

Insert the M.2 module (b) at a slight angle in the direction of the arrow
(1) into the slot (a) on the mainboard.
If the screw for retaining the M .2 module is loca ted on one of the associated
stud bolts on the mainboard, remove the screw.
Secure the M.2 module onto the ma inbo ard with the screw (2). In doing so, s elect
the stud bolt appropriate to the length of the module.
Install the boards (see "
Installing a board", Page 87).
Close the casing (see "
Close the casing", Pag e 44).
If necessary, you must adjust the entry for the M.2 module accordingly in the BIOS Setup.
