To use the locking function of the UltraSlim drive, you must fit the appropriate drive
plate on the drive before installing the drive in the casing.
► Open the casing (see "
Open the casing", Pa ge 43).
► Open the service door (se

► If a blind cover is fitted, remove it.
Do not throw away the blind cover. If you remove the drive again later, you must
refit the blind cover for the purposes of cooling, fire protection an d to prevent the
entry of foreign bodies (see "
Removing an accessible drive", Pa ge 72).
