Installing the hard disk drive
When delivered and depending on the chosen device con figuration, up to four hard disks
of type 3

inch or 2

2
inch may be installed in the device.
SATA type hard disks without an additional cable / controller may be installed.
Whether you can install other hard disks such as SAS or U2 also depends on the chosen
device configuration an d the appropriate cables / controllers supplied with it.
Removing the hard disk drive
► On devices without a casing lock b ut with hard disk cover lock: Open the casing (see
"
Open the casing", Page 43) and unlock the hard disk cover (see "Mechanically lock
the hard disk cover on devices without a casing lock", Pag e 34).
► On devices with a casing lock: Unlock the casing.
► Remove the hard disk cover (see "
Remove the hard disk cover", Page 54).

► Unlatch the locking mechanism (1).
► Fold the locking mechanism in the direction of the arrow (2).
