System expansions
Do not throw a way the slot cover. For cooling, protection against fire and in order to
comply with EMC regulations, you must refit the slot cover if you remove the board.

► Push the board into the slot ( 1).
► Secure the board with the screw (2), if one is fitte d.
► Fold the b oard lock (3) back down to close it.
► If necessary, c onnect the cables to the board.
► For long boards: Close the service door (see "
Close service door", Page 46).
► C lose the casing (see "
Close the casing", Page 44).
If you have installed or removed a board, please check the relevant PCI
slot settings in the BIOS Setup. If necessary, change the settings. Further
information is provided in the PCI board documentation.
