Security functions
Entering p asswords using the tablet button s
The p asswords to be entered via the ta blet buttons are usually composed of a combination of
button presses, e.g. butt on

+ button
3
followed by bu tton
1
and the
ENT
button.
Enter your password using the buttons

to
4
.
Conrm by pressing
ENT
.
The device will be unlocked.
Trusted P latform Module (TPM) (device-dependent)

To use the TPM, you must activate the TPM in the BIOS Setup before the software
is installed. The condition for this is that you have assigned at least the sup ervisor
password (see "
Secu rity f unctions", Page 76).
Enabling TPM
Requirement: You have assigned a supervisor pa ssword, see "Security function s", Page 76.
C a ll up the BIOS Set
up and select the Security menu.
Mark the TP M S ecu rity Chip Setting eld and press the Enter key.
Select Enabled to
activate the TPM .
Once you have activated the TPM the Clear Security Chip option appears.
Select Clear Se
curity Chip to delete the holder in the TPM. By clicking on Enabled,

(e.g. SRK - Storage Root Keys, AIK - Attestation Identity Keys
etc.) g enerat e
d by applications are deleted.

Select the Ex
it Saving Changes option in the Exit men u.
Press the Enter key and select Yes.

k will restart, and TPM will b e enabled after the reboot.
Disabling TPM
Requirement: You have assigned a supervisor pa ssword, see "Security function s", Page 76.
C all up the BIOS Setup and select the Security menu.
Mark the TP M S ecu rity Chip Setting eld and press the Enter key.
Select Disabled to deactivate the TPM.
From the Exit menu, choose the option Exit Saving Changes.
Press the Enter key and select Yes.
Your not ebook will now restart and TPM will be disabled.
