Switching the wireless components on and off
Before switching on your device for the first time, the on/off switch for
radio components must be in the "ON" position.
► Slide the O N/OFF s witc h into the "ON"
position to activate the radio components.

"OFF" position to d eactivate the
radio co mponents.
If you switch off the radio components, the wireless LAN tra nsmission unit (antenna)
and, if present, the Blueto oth and UMTS module will also be switched off.
You can enable and disable the installed radio components individually
using the WirelessSelector programme
You can also d eactivate the wireless c ompo nents individually in the BIOS Setup.
For th is to occur, y ou must either not ha ve assigned a supervisor password or if a
supervisor password has been assigned, you must know this password.
Pay attention to the additional safety notes for devices with radio components
provided in the "Safety/R egulations" manual.

included in the Wireless LAN software.
You can find more information on how to use B luetooth on the CD you
received with your Bluetooth software.
You can obtain more information on UMTS from your service provider.
Setting up WLAN access
• Requirement: A WLAN must be available and you must have the
corresponding access information.
Information on configuring the WLAN access can be found in the
documentation for your operating system.
