System CMOS checksum bad - default conﬁguration

The system conﬁguration information is

incorrect.

► Switch the notebook off.

► Switch the notebook on.

► Pre ss the function key

to a cce s

BIOS Setup.

► In the BIOS Setup, select the Exit menu.

► Select the entry Load Setup

Defaults.

► Select OK and press the Enter key.

Extended memory failed at o ffset: xxxx Failing Bits:

zzzz zzzz

When testing th e extended mem ory an error has

resulted at the address xxxx.

► Check wh ether the add itional memory

module has been inserted correctly.

Failure Fixed Disk n

The s ettings of the hard disk drive are incorrect.

► Start the BIOS Setup ( Primary Master

submenu) and select the correct settings.

Keyboard controller error

► Switch the notebook off with the ON/OFF

switch.

► Wait 3 - 5 seconds and switch on the

notebook again.

Keyboard error

If you are using an external keyboard:

► Ch eck the connection and reboot the

notebook.

► Make sure that no key is pressed.

Operating system not foun d

► Check in the B

► Make sure that the operating system is

installed on the corresponding drive.

Press <F1> to resume, <F 2> to SETUP

This error message appears if an error occurs

during the self-test before s tarting the operating

system.

► Press the

operating system.

to access the

BIOS Setup.

Previous boot incomplete - Default conﬁguration

used D ue to an error during the previous system

boot, defa ult values were used for certain

settings. Check the settings in the BIOS Setup.
