2-4 UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
Use the following procedures to unpack the M2488 tape drive and its optional equipment. When the
equipment is unpacked, proceed to the inspection procedures in paragraph 2-5.
2-4.1 Unpack the M2488 Tape Drive
Unpack the M2488 tape drive as described below.
** NOTE **
The model shown is a M2488 without an ACL or FACL attached.
1. Carefully remove the M2488 from the packing material as shown in the figure above.
2. Place the tape drive on a flat work surface.
3. Verify contents of package to the packing list.
4. Retain packing material for future use.
5. Continue with inspection of the equipment.
