4.3.2 Installation in Classic Rack
The following parts are required to install the server in the Classic (19”) Rack:
– Two Classic Rack carrier rails
– Two telescopic rails
– Articulated cable guide
– Protective hose for fiber channel fiber optic cable
I General information is provided in the Technical Manual for the Classic
(19”) Rack.

Ê As shown in the figure, place the telescopic rail (a) on the carrier rail (b).
Ê Slightly pull apart (1) the telescopic rails (a) until the first fixing hole (lower
row of holes) is visible in the first oval opening on the telescopic rail and
screw the two rails together (2).
Ê Push the telescopic rails (a) slightly together until the left-hand end of the
second oval opening (lower row of holes) in the carrier rail is visible in the
second oval opening in the telescopic rail and screw the two rails together
here (3).
Ê As shown (4), secure one end of the telescopic rail to the carrier rail.
Ê Repeat this procedure for the second telescopic rail.
