8.1 Hot-plug components
8.1.1 Hot-plug power supply units
With two hot-plug power supply units installed, if a defect occurs in one power
supply unit, the other power supply unit ensures unimpaired further operation.
The defective power supply unit can be replaced during operation (hot
plugging).
V CAUTION!
It is essential to observe the safety instructions in chapter “Important
information” on page 23.

V CAUTION!
When replacing a non-defective hot-plug power supply unit in a non-
redundant configuration (only one power supply unit), the server must
be switched off first.
