Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please o bse rve the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 12 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the docume ntation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thundersto rm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
Follow the order described below when you connect external devices to
the Tablet PC or separate them from it:
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/disconnecting. For more
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the documentation s upplied with y our external device.
Some of the external devices require special d rivers (see the operating
system and external device documentation).
Connecting de vices to the Tablet PC (o r to the docking crad le)
1. Switch off the Tablet PC and all the external devices.
2. Disconnect th
e AC plugs for the Tablet PC and all the affected devices from the power outlets.
3. Connect the cables for all the external devices according to the instructions.
4. Plug all t he A
C plugs into the power outlets.
