Gantner Instruments Test & Measurement GmbH
Example: The load has to be controlled by two conditions. The tank weight has to be lower than 500 kg and the total
weight has to be lower than 1000 kg. Is the total weight beyond of 1000 kg, the alarm will be stored until 0 kg
is reached.
For more required limit switches a higher number of alarms can be defined. So it is possible to control 4 alarms, and
combine them in Boolean AND by the arithmetic function V8 = V4*V5*V6*V7. The discrete and the combined results are
available data for the host.
5.4.5 Digital Output
The function of the digital output is comparable with the alarm function. The different is the existing digital output at the
modul (24 V open collector) and the possibility to use the digital output as state and as process output. To used as state
the host can set the ouput undependend on the measurement. To use the digital output as process output it will have
the alarm functionality plus hardware output. The module provides 4 digital outputs.
To set a digtal output it is necessary to define a new variable. For that option click at any field in a row.
Column "Type"
Open the window Variable and select Digital Output.
