Menu
The Functions for Port menu allows the user to select the port function desired. The user can select from the
following:
•
Configuration
•
Statistics
• Disable/Enable
• Protocol Monitor
The Functions for Port menu is shown in Figure A-4.
Table A-1. Port Status Attributes
Display Attribute Description
Port Number The port number is the physical location assigned to the ports. En designates an
Ethernet port and Sn designates a serial port.
Name Name assigned to the port by the user.
Interface The electrical interface of the port.
Protocol Identifies the protocol assigned.
State Either Enabled or Disabled.
Status Indicates the current status of the physical and logical connection to another device and
is designated by either Up or Down. If Spanning Tree protocols are being used on the
network, and the port is enabled, this field provides the current state of the port within
the Spanning Tree, i.e., Forwarding, Blocking, Listening, or Learning.
