5.7 Starting a run
Runs are programmed and started from a workflow, an application wizard or via a
manual run. Details of how to program a run may be found in the Biacore X100 Handbook
and in the integrated software support.
Before starting a run:
Check that there is sufficient buffer in the buffer bottle, and that both buffer tubings
are properly inserted in the buffer.
Check that the waste bottle has sufficient space for the waste from the run and that
the waste tubing is properly inserted in the bottle cap.
Check that samples and reagents are in position in the sample rack, in properly
capped vials.
Check that an uncapped vial with water is in the rack position marked H
2
O.
Check that the rack is properly mounted and locked (the Rack locked indicator should
be lit).
