1. Click the button and the extruder will be homed. Then it moves down to the
default test point. Adjust the nozzles position in the Z axis by clicking the
buttons to ensure appropriate distance between the nozzle and hotbed. Please
choose small moving distance, for instance, 0.1mm and 1mm. To test the distance, it is
recommended to slide an A4 paper between the nozzle and hotbed. Slide the paper back
and forth. Stop when you feel the nozzle just start to grab a little bit. The Z axis
coordinate of the nozzle will appear in the textbox .
2. The Z offset value, the same with that of the nozzle, will appear in the textbox
. (It is necessary for your to slightly adjust the
offset value manually, based on the real printing condition.)
Thats the whole auto-leveling process.
Choose a model file. Then the printer will be homed and move down to the 9 points of
the building platform. At each point, 3D Touch will read the Z coordinate. After this testing
process, the extruder will be located at the 9
th
point.
