Follow the directions as shown above for the Back Pack mounting, install the sensor vertically, horizontally
or at 45º depending on the angle of the earth’s field in your location. See Figure For operations in the far
North or South (above 70º field inclination, see CSAZ for field inclination or dip angle in your area or refer
to the world maps above) tilt the sensor 45º to the vertical. For mid-latitudes, mount the sensor for vertical
operation. For those areas where the field inclination is less than 20 degrees, we recommend tilting the
sensor to the right or left by 45º for operation in the East-West direction or tilting the sensor forward or
backward by 45º for North-South operation at the equator.
