I. Recommendations for installation
The physical installation and connections must be done by a Gravotech approved
technician.
Turnothemachinebeforeanyintervention.
1. Physical installation
• Placethemachineonahorizontal,stableandcleansurfacethatcansupport100kg(220.462lb)ormore.
• Checkthattheengravingtableislevelinbothdirections(Adjustwithaspiritlevel.)
• Placethemachineinaclean,ventilatedenvironment.Choosethelocationthatoerstheshortestand
most direct route to the air extraction system (See: "Air extraction system (optional) ").
• Avoid small, conned, unventilatedspaces. Somematerials continueto emitgases for afew minutes
afterlaser marking or cutting. The presence ofthese materials in aconned, unventilated room could
contaminate the room.
To provide good ventilation and prevent the laser source, power supply and/or control unit
module from overheating, leave a clear space of 20 cm (7.874 in) all around the machine.
The back of the machine should be kept clear and should not be close to any items of
furniture. It must not be placed on a shelf or installed in a corner.
Overheatingcouldseriouslydamagethemachineandleadtomajorcosts.
This marking equipment is designed to function at a room temperature between 10 °C (50 °F) and 35
°C (95 °F).
• Iftheequipmentisstoredatatemperatureinferiorto10°C(50°F)orsuperiorto40°C(104°F),leave
it24hatatemperaturebetween10°C(50°F)and35°C(95°F)beforestart-up.Thedewpointambient
temperaturesmustbebelow10°C(50°F).
• Ambientlightisenoughtolighttheequipmentproperly.Themachinehasalightingsysteminsidethework
area.
• Arrangethe work areaso that theoperator can quickly and easily access all the external parts of the
machine. Do not obstruct the movement of the moving parts of the machine.
Make sure the connector screws are properly tightened to prevent the cables from
becoming disconnected while the machine is switched on. This could cause permanent
damage to the circuit boards.
