1.6 Transportation
The goods described here are delivered in a carton or case. Please verify that the delivery is complete
and free of visible damage. If transport damage is discovered at the time of delivery, this must be re-
ported immediately. For safety reasons, do NOT operate the device in this case. The device must be
switched off for transportation and only the original packaging may be used. The aerosol intake has to
be closed with the cover cap. Please note that the device contains a lithium-ion battery which may not
be exposed to ambient temperatures higher than 50°C.
You will find this label on the underside of the Mini-LAS 11-R. It advises you not to expose the measur-
ing device itself or the Mini-LAS 11-R in the transport case to direct sunlight or high temperatures. Oth-
erwise device damage or failure may result.
Especially after transporting the device at low temperatures, sufficient acclimatisation time
must be allowed before operating it. Otherwise malfunctions may occur or the device may
fail entirely.
1.7 Storage
The device must be switched off for transportation and storage, and only the original packaging may be
used. The aerosol intake has to be closed with the cover cap. Please note that the device contains a
lithium-ion battery which may not be exposed to ambient temperatures higher than 50°C during storage.
Please inspect all parts of the measuring system after unpacking. If it can be assumed that safe opera-
tion is no longer possible, the device cannot be put into operation and must be secured against unin-
tended use.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible in the following cases:
If the device exhibits visible damage
If the device no longer functions after use
After extended storage under unfavourable conditions
After transportation under unfavourable conditions
