Before You Start
People Density is supported by the panoramic channel. You need to select People Density for
Camera 02 or Camera 03 on VCA Resource page rst.
Steps
1.
Enable the funcon in Conguraon → People Density → Rule .
2.
Set a detecon area.

Click , and click on the live image to dene the boundary of the detecon area. Le click to
nish drawing.

Click to clear selected areas.

Click
to clear all the areas.
Note
Up to 8 areas can be set at the same me.
3.
Select an area from the list and set the target size as Large-size Target or Small-size Target.

Click
, and a frame of 40 × 40 pixels will be displayed in the live image. If the shoulder of
the target is wider than the frame, you should select Large-size Target.

Click , and a frame of 20 × 20 pixels will be displayed in the live image. If the shoulder of
the target is shorter than the frame, you should select Small-size Target.
Note
If the shoulder width is between the two modes, adjust installaon posion and device angle to
meet the requirements.
4.
Dene the Density Level by the number of people in the detecon area and the target pixel
rao.
Number of
People
Set the range for each level by inpung the lower limit of the number of
people in the detecon area.
Target Pixel
Rao
Target pixel rao refers to the rao of the detecon area occupied by
people. Check Enable Target Pixel Rao and input the lower limit of target
pixel rao for each level.
Note
●
Up to three levels can be congured. The density increases from level 1 to level 3.
●
The target pixel rao is oponal. When it is enabled, both the set number of people and the
rao should be met to reach the density level.
Example
Set the people number of Level 1 as 10, Level 2 as 100, and Level 3 as 1000. When the number
of people in the
detecon area is less than 10, the alarm is not triggered. When the number of
people is between 10 and 100, Level 1 alarm is triggered. When the number of people is
between 100 and 1000, Level 2 alarm is triggered. When the number exceeds 1000, Level 3
alarm is triggered.
5.
Click Save.
