Configure IP Cameras
1. DS-7604HI-S model can be used as the hybrid DVR or NVR.
When DS-7604HI-S is used as a hybrid DVR, it can be configured with 4 analog camera and 2 IP cameras at
4CIF resolution or 1 IP camera at HD720P resolution.
When DS-7604HI-S is used as a NVR, it can be configured with 4 IP cameras at 4CIF resolution or 2 IP cameras
at HD720P resolution.
2. DS-7604NI-S/M and DS-7604NI-S models provide no analog camera connection; therefore it can be used as
NVR only, with 4 IP cameras at 4CIF resolution or 2 IP cameras at HD720P resolution configurable.
Note:
Each IP camera is allowable to be connected to a single DS-7604 unit so as to avoid confused control.
Before configuring IP cameras, please ensure that all IP cameras are connected to the same network as your DVR and
the network settings for your DVR is properly set up (See Configuring Network Settings).
To configure IP cameras:
1. Click Menu > Setting > Camera to enter the Camera Management menu, shown in Figure 1.

2. Select the channel to be connected from the Camera Management menu.
Note:
When you want to connect more than 2 IP cameras at 4CIF resolution or 1 IP camera at
HD720p resolution with the DS-7604HI-S unit, then it needs to adjust the number of analog cameras
connected. 1 IP cameras at 4CIF resolution can be added by disabling 2 analog cameras, and 1 IP
cameras at HD720p resolution can be added by disabling 4 analog cameras. Up to 4 IP cameras at 4CIF
resolution or 2 IP cameras at HD720P resolution can be connected to the DS-7604HI-S unit.
Operate the following steps to adjust the analog camera status:
Click the Status button from the Camera Management menu to enter the following dialog box:

Only DS-7604HI-S has the Status button and menu.
