42 Affinity® 4 Birthing Bed Instructions for Use (USR025 REV 13)
The following products have been tested by the Herculite Laboratory and have been found not to have
a harmful effect on Dartex® fabrics when used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended
dilution.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Warning—Only facility-authorized persons should service the Affinity® 4 Birthing Bed. Service done by
unauthorized persons could cause injury or equipment damage.
The Affinity® 4 Birthing Bed requires an effective maintenance program. We recommend that you do
annual preventive maintenance (PM) for Joint Commission certification. PM not only meets Joint
Commission requirements but can help make sure of a long, operative life for the Affinity® 4 Birthing
Bed. Two effective ways to reduce downtime and make sure the patient remains comfortable are to
keep accurate records and maintain the Affinity® 4 Birthing Bed. For the preventive maintenance
schedule, refer to the Affinity® 4 Birthing Bed Service Manual (195826).
