3. Routine Inspection before Every Shift
23
9. Approach the right side of the cab from outside and locate the filter mat housing pull out tray.
Carefully pull the tray out and inspect the heater core filter. If the heater core filter is heavily
clogged, replace it. Otherwise, clean the heater core filter with compressed air at a maximum
pressure of 70 psi and reinstall it.
Caution: Clogged filters reduce air flow, which results in low AC efficiency and may cause
damage to the tractor.
10. If you detect any faults or non-compliance, refer to Troubleshooting chapter. Otherwise, continue
the routine inspection and go to the next routine procedure.
13. Checking driver's seat and seat belt
This routine procedure verifies that the operator is safe and comfortable in the driver's seat, and can
safely reach all devices in the cab and operate the tractor.
To check the driver's seat:
1. While sitting in the driver's seat, make sure that your position allows you to reach all the controls
in the cab and operate the tractor.
2. If not, adjust your seat. For instructions on how to adjust the driver's seat, see Adjusting driver's
seat procedure.
Caution: Ensure that the driver's seat locks after every adjustment.
3. Ensure that the seat belt is in good working condition and adjusted for you.
4. If you detect any faults or non-compliance, refer to Troubleshooting chapter. Otherwise, continue
the routine inspection and go to the next routine procedure.
14. Checking steering column
This routine procedure verifies that the position of the steering column is appropriate for the operator.
To check the steering column:
1. While sitting in the driver's seat, make sure that you are comfortable with the height and
inclination of the steering column.
2. If the position of the steering column has to be adjusted, release the adjustment lever by tuning it
counter clockwise. Now you can adjust the steering column back and forth, and slightly up and
down.
3. Set the steering column into the position comfortable for you.
4. Lock the lever by turning it clockwise until it is tight.
