Note: If PTO speed is 540, engine speed for most of the attachments is 2200 rpm. If PTO
speed is 1000 rpm, engine speed is 2390 rpm for most of the attachments.
Warning: If you need to leave the cab when PTO is engaged, disengage PTO (follow
Disengaging PTO procedrue). Then you may leave. Failure to comply could result in serous or
fatal injuries.
Disengaging PTO
This procedure provides instructions on how to disengage the PTO.
To disengage the PTO:
Warning: Disengaging PTO at engine speed above 950 rpm (when the engine is not idle?),
can cause severe damage to a PTO shaft and void your warranty.
Note: Monitor engine speed on the engine tachometer.
1. Push the top of the hand throttle to quickly release it and bring the engine rpm below 950 (set the
engine into the idle state?).
Note: You can also bring the engine rpm down by turning the hand throttle clockwise.
2. Bring the tractor to a complete stop:
a. Set the drive direction switch to neutral.
b. Set the drive program switch to 0.
c. Engage the parking brake (take it out? recomm. by Mitch).
3. Turn the PTO switch off.
4. Allow the PTO shaft to slow down to 0 rpm. Verify that PTO speed is 0 on the digital
ground/PTO speed display.
Warning: Attachments may lag after PTO is disengaged. Do not leave the cab until PTO
shafts stop rotating completely. Failure to comply could result in serious or fatal injuries.
Removing a PTO shaft

Warning: Failure to comply with the procedure could result in serious injuries or damage to
