About Head Jam History
The printer configuration page includes head jam history information.
Run the Printing Test
Follow these steps to run the printing test. Before you begin, make sure the
paper is loaded correctly. The printing test uses three sheets of paper.
1 Press and hold READY/CLEAR, and then press POWER/SLEEP to turn off
the printer.
2 Press POWER/SLEEP to turn on the printer, and then immediately press and
hold LOAD/FF.

Error Type Description
Head Jam History Descriptions
Information Description
Total Head Jams Total number of head jams for the printer. Maximum is 65535.
Direction Direction the printhead was moving at the time of the most
recent head jam. Left is towards the home position (extreme
left) and right is away from the home position.
Temperature C Ambient temperature (in degrees C) at the time of the most
recent head jam.
Page Page count at the time of the most recent head jam.
