Select Double-Strike Mode (continued)
Cancel Double-Strike Mode
Description: Cancels double-strike mode.
Decimal: 27 72

ASCII: ESC “H”
Select Double-Wide Mode
Description: Enables double-wide print for the current line only. The previously set mode returns on
subsequent lines. However, double-wide print can be canceled with Cancel Double-
Wide Mode (DC4) or Cancel Double-Wide Print (ESC “W” (0)) before the end of the
current line or wrapping of the print buffer. This works with all three pitches (Pica, Elite,
Compressed). Double-wide mode is also terminated by the execution of a Carriage
Return, Line Feed, Form Feed, Vertical Tab or wrapping of the print buffer.

Description: Cancels double-wide print for the current line only. Modes set previously return on
subsequent lines. However, this control code does not cancel the double-wide mode if
that mode is set by Select Double-Wide Print (ESC “W” 1*) or Master Select (ESC “!”).
