The

command
sets the
Standard
Event
Status Enable
Register
bits.
The Standard
Event
Status Enable
Register
contains
a
mask
value
for
the
bits
to
be enabled
in the
Standard
Event
Status
Register.
A
one
in
the
Standard
Event
Status Enable
Register
will
enable
the corresponding
bit
in the Standard
Event
Status
Register, a
zero
will
disable
the
bit.
Refer
to
table
5-1
for
the
information about
the
Standard
Event
Status
Enable
Register bits,
bit
weights,
and what
each
bit
masks.
The
*ESE
query
returns
the
current
contents
of
the
register.
Command
Syntax:
*ESE<mask>
Where:

Example:

In
this
example, the *ESE
64
command
will
enable
URQ
(user
request)
bit
6
of
the
Standard
Event
Status
Enable
Register.
Therefore,
when
a
front
panel key
is pressed,
the
ESB
(event
summary
bit)
in
the Status
Byte
Register
will
also
be
set.
