1. Set up the equipment as shown in Figure D-4 (HP 8167A, 8168D
,E,F).
2. Set the TLS
a. Set the wavelength to
HP 8167A 1310nm

b. Set the power to high power

a. Zero the 8153A.
b. Select Auto Range.
c. Select averaging time 500ms.
d. Select display in dB.
e. Set the wavelength to
HP 8167A 1310nm
HP 8168D,E,F 1540nm
f. Set 8153A to Logging, T Total = 1 hour:
i. Press
