IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw size and location during removal and replacement.
IMPORTANT: The display panel is fragile. Be sure to use no more force than necessary when removing the
panel.
IMPORTANT: Cables connect the panel to the computer. Be careful not to disconnect the cables when
rotating the panel.
Be careful when opening to avoid tearing cables. Be sure to open from the top.
Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:
▲ Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
Remove the display panel:
1. Remove the two Torx T5 2.0 × 3.5 screws from each side of the kickstand (2).
2. Pull the sides of the kickstand away from the computer (2), and then remove the kickstand (3).
