4. Be careful not to tear the cable as you gently pull up the connector, and then remove the assembly from
the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the volume board.
Fingerprint reader board
To remove the
ngerprint reader board, use this procedure and illustration.

NOTE: The left speaker must be removed before removing the ngerprint reader board.
Before removing the ngerprint reader board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 42).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 46).
4. Disconnect the left speaker (see Speakers with antennas on page 55).
Remove the ngerprint reader board:
1. Remove the Phillips M1.4 × 1.6 screw (1) that secures the ngerprint reader bracket to the computer.
