• CAUSE: The listener attached to TCP/IP process <2> port number <3> entered the down state. A separate
EMS event will provide additional information.
• EFFECT: The listener no longer accepts new session requests.
• ACTION: Recovery is automatic. If the error persists, contact support.

"<STN process name> STNLOG <2>"
• CAUSE: STNLOG messages can be generated by other components and also by the STNCOM command
STNLOG. The text <2> is described in the documentation for the component which generated the message.
• EFFECT: Refer to other documentation.
• ACTION: Refer to other documentation.

"<STN process name> Telnet License Exception <2>/<3> File: <4> Reason: <5> Effect: <6>"
• CAUSE: An error occurred processing the LICENSE file in the STN subvol. <2>/<3> are numeric status codes
used by support staff. <4> is the license filename. <5> is a description of the problem and <6> is a description
of the effect.
• EFFECT: The license applies only to telnet listeners, which are generally not used with SecurSH. SSH (PTY)
sessions are unaffected.
• ACTION: Verify that the correct license file is available as a 101-EDIT file in the STN subvol. If the problem
persists, contact support.
zstn-evt-max-users value is 1005
"<STN process name> User limit exceeded <2> time(s)"
• CAUSE: The number of simultaneous users allowed by the LICENSE file has been exceeded. If the message
has already appeared within the last 10 minutes, it will not be repeated. Whenever the event is generated again,
the number of suppressed messages will be indicated in <2>.
• EFFECT: The session request was rejected with notification to the remote user (STN45).
• ACTION: Consider increasing the number of licensed users.
zstn-evt-expire-in-days value is 1006
"<STN process name> Warning: License expires in <2> days"
• CAUSE: The number of days <2> until license expiration is less than 32. This is checked at STN process
startup time and every morning at 9:00 AM LCT.
• EFFECT: None; advisory message.
• ACTION: Contact your distributor for a new license file.
