Webcam module
The webcam module is located at the top of the computer beneath the webcam cover and microphone
module.
To remove the webcam module:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to disassemble the computer on page 25).
2. Remove the rear covers (see
Removing the rear covers from the computer on page 26).
3. Separate the computer from the column (see
Separating the computer from the column on page 35).
4. Remove the webcam cover (see
Top rear cover (webcam) on page 38).
5. Remove the microphone module (see
Microphone module on page 40).
6. Remove the Torx screw that secures the webcam module bracket to the computer.
