HP Tru64 UNIX SAN rules
This section describes the SAN rules for HP Tru64 UNIX.

You must sign up for an HP Passport to enable access.
Table 100 describes the SAN configuration rules for HP Tru64 UNIX. Table 101 describes support
for HP Tru64 UNIX multipathing coexistence.

Zoning is required when Tru64 UNIX is used in a heterogeneous SAN with other operating systems.
Supports TruCluster Server.
Supports boot from SAN. For more information, see EVA SAN boot support on page 256 and XP
and VA SAN boot support on page 268.
Supports multipathing high-availability configuration in multiple fabrics or in a single fabric with zoned
paths.

Zoning is required when a SAN is configured for multiple TruCluster products. Each TruCluster must
be in its own zone.
Supports connection of single HBA servers.
Supports active/active or active/passive failover mode.
A multipathing driver is embedded in the operating system.
