Using a port channel, bundles up to sixteen 2 Gb/s links to form a single 32 Gb/s link.
Using a port channel, bundles up to sixteen 4 Gb/s links to form a single 64 Gb/s link.
Using a port channel, bundles up to sixteen 10 Gb/s links to form a single 160 Gb/s link.
All port channel links must be the same speed.
H-series switch settings
The H-series switches have a fixed BB-credit setting. When using supported long-wave SFP, the following
distances are supported:
3.3 km at 8 Gb/s
6.6 km at 4 Gb/s
10 km at 2 Gb/s
M-series switch settings
Table 143 lists the M-series switch extended fabric settings for maintaining performance with extended
fabric links.

interoperability rules on page 167 for detailed information about distance
rules for long-wave transceivers.

NOTE:
The HP C-series CWDM solution is not supported on M-series switches. See
Certified third-party WDM products on page 353 for M-series supported WDM devices.
Consider the following when using M-series switches with extended fabric links:
The HP StorageWorks Edge Switch 2/24 has a fixed BB_credit setting and is limited based on
the port number to support links beyond 500 m for 1 Gb/s and 300 m for 2 Gb/s.
Ports 0 through 3 support distances up to 20 km at 1 Gb/s and up to 10 km at 2 Gb/s.
Ports 4 through 23 do not have enough BB_credits to support long-wave SFP transceivers.
Therefore, they only support the short-wave SFP transceiver link distances of 500 m at 1 Gb/s
or 300 m at 2 Gb/s.
To maintain line-speed performance for extended lines over 10 km, you must configure the
nl
applicable ports for the RX BB setting. The RX BB setting cannot be changed unless the port is offline.
Using HAFM, select the Configure Ports menu option to display the Configure Ports dialog box (Figure
81).
