Before changing the boot mode to Legacy BIOS Mode, you must first disable the HPE SR100i Gen10 Plus Software RAID.

When you use the software to update, maintain, or monitor the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus server, you will see HPEHPE
ProLiant XL420 Gen10 Plus ServerProLiant XL420 Gen10 Plus Server as the product name in the interface.
ProcedureProcedure
1. Reboot the server.
The server restarts and the POST screen appears.
2. Press F9F9.
The System Utilities screen appears.
3. Select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Options > Storage Options > SATA Controller
options, and then press EnterEnter.
4. Select HPEHPE Smart Array SW RAID Support Smart Array SW RAID Support , and then choose DisableDisable from the drop-down menu.
5. To save the selection, press F10F10.
6. To save the changes, press Yes-Save ChangesYes-Save Changes.
7. To exit, press F12: Save and ExitF12: Save and Exit .
The server continues the normal boot process.
