8. Disconnect the SATA-power Y-cable from the optical drive .
9. Remove the optical drive assembly from the media bay.
10. Remove the optical drive from the optical drive cage.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
