Procedure 1 (For iBMC V549 and Earlier)
This section uses a PC running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8.0 as an
example.
Step 1 Connect the local PC to the iBMC management network port on the server by
using a crossover cable or twisted pair cable.
Figure 8-21 shows the network diagram.

Step 2 Open Internet Explorer on the local PC.
Step 3 In the address box, enter the IP address of the server iBMC management network
port (for example, https://192.168.2.100) and press Enter.
The iBMC login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-22.
NO TE
● If the message "There is a problem with this website's security certicate" is displayed,
click Continue to this website (not recommended).
● If the Security Alert dialog box indicating a certicate error is displayed, click Yes.
