Ensure that the angle between two hoisting ropes is no more than 90 degrees, as shown
in the following figure.
Using Ladders

Do not use a straight ladder.

Before using a ladder, check that it is intact and confirm its load bearing capacity. Do not
overload it.

Use wooden or fiberglass ladders when you need to perform live-line working at heights.

Platform ladders with protective rails are preferred. The ladder must be secured at the
four feet and held by a person.

When a step ladder is used, ensure that the pull ropes are secured and the ladder is held
firm by a person.

