Initiating a Private Call
Through Preset Contact
Press and then rotate the Smart Knob to select the channel or private contact.
Press and hold the PTT key.
Through Manual Dialing
Tap .
In the Dialer interface, enter the private ID complying with the dialing rules.
Do either of the following:
In trunking mode, tap .
In conventional mode, tap , and then tap Private in the Choose Call Way dialog box.
Press the PTT key.
Through Contact List
Tap or .
Go to Contacts > Favorites/Private, and then tap the private contact.
Press and hold the PTT key or tap .
Through One Touch Call
With the One Touch Call feature enabled, do either of the following:
In trunking mode, press the preprogrammed One touch call/msg key.
In conventional mode, press the preprogrammed One touch call/msg key, and then press the PTT key.
Receiving a Private Call
Conventional Mode
You can answer a private call without any operation.
Trunking Mode
You can answer a private call according to the setup mode as follows:
FOACSU
When receiving a FOACSU private call, the radio rings and vibrates. To answer the call, press the PTT key
within the preset time.
