For more network security protection, you can set security to access the network through different protocols.
You can connect to the network through the proxy server. Tap Advanced options, and then set Proxy and
IP settings.
4.4.2 Advanced WLAN Settings
In the WLAN interface, tap , and then do one of the following:
View the MAC address and IP address of the radio.
To check or delete saved networks, tap Saved networks.
To receive a notification when a WLAN is available, enable Network notification.
To keep the WLAN enabled when the radio screen is sleeping, do one of the following:
Tap Always.
The radio is always connected to the WLAN when the screen sleeps.
Tap Only when plugged in.
If the screen sleeps, the radio is connected to the WLAN only when being charged.
Tap Never.
The radio is not connected to the WLAN when the screen sleeps.
4.5 Tethering and Portable Hotspot
The Tethering & Portable Hotspot feature allows you to share the radio's data connection with nearby
devices.
To set up WLAN hotspot, do as follows:
Tap .
Under the Wireless & networks pane, go to More > Tethering & portable hotspot.
Enable Portable WLAN hotspot.
Tap Set up WLAN hotspot, and then set Network name, Security, and Password.
Tap Save.
4.6 BT
The BT feature allows the radio to exchange data with another BT-enabled device over short distances.
