5.3.2 Trunking Mode
The Roam feature allows the radio to register with a non-home BS or network when it is on the move. When
the radio detects signal, it initiates the registration.
This feature needs to be enabled by your dealer.
5.4 E2EE
With the End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) feature enabled, voice and data are protected against eavesdropping,
so as to ensure communication privacy.
If this feature is configured by your dealer, you can enable this feature in one of the following ways:
In the control and notification center, tap the control widget of E2EE.
Press the preprogrammed E2EE key.
Tap , and then tap E2EE.
Switch to the channel configured with the E2EE feature.
In conventional mode, enabling the E2EE feature is to enable encryption for the current channel.
When switching to the channel, the radio automatically enables encryption.
5.5 Call Settings
Call Settings allows you to configure the features about call services.
5.5.1 Soft PTT Key
With the Soft PTT Key feature enabled, the call interface displays the virtual PTT button.
To enable or disable this feature, tap , and then tap Soft PTT Key under the Call settings pane.
5.5.2 Call Recording
The Call Recording feature allows you to record all calls. The recordings are automatically saved in the
Recorder.
To record one PMR call, tap in the call interface.
To record all PMR calls, tap , and then tap Call Recording under the Call settings pane to enable
the feature.
