Scrambler
This feature allows the radio to invert
the frequency spectrum of transmitted
audio signals. Only the receiving radio
with the same Scrambler settings can
restore the audio signals. This prevents
eavesdropping and ensures
communication privacy. This feature is
configured by your dealer.
To enable or disable this
feature, do one of the
following:
Tap , and then
tap Scrambler.
Tap the control widget
Scrambler.
Press the
preprogrammed
Scrambler key.
Monitor
This feature allows the radio to receive
more signals including weak signals. It
helps you to recognize weak voices from
the speaker.
To enable or disable this
feature, press the
preprogrammed Monitor
key.
Adjust Squelch
Level
This feature allows you to adjust the
squelch threshold required for the
radio's speaker to be turned on. Higher
squelch lever requires stronger signals.
To adjust the squelch level,
do either of the following:
Tap , and tap
Squelch level.
Press the
preprogrammed
Adjust squelch level
key.
